Freemium internet service, which helps Russian-speaking users to read English texts by translating unknown words into Russian.
Role: Founder, UI designer, Developer.
Challenges: integration of many technologies, building a fast-responding UI (complex JS), promotion.
The service accepts English language texts in any format (txt, srt, doc, docx, ps, pdf, fb2, epub, mobi, azw3, html).
After uploading, text goes through multiple preprocessors, incuding text extraction, splitting into pages, part-of-speech tagging, lemmatization, searching for phrasal verbs, ...
List of texts
After processing user can read the text. Unknown words will be translated into Russian. With each word you can go deeper: alternative translations, definitions, even lemma/part-of-speech changing.
Reading
Each text has its own list of words with many options: filtering, exporting, printing, etc.
